Gujarat government has announced vhali dikari yojana for girl children of the state. Under this vahali dikari yojana, the state govt. Will provide education incentives and rs.01 lakh to first and second daughters of the family. This one lakh assistant amount would be provide when the girl attains the age of 18 years. This scheme will prevent female foeticide, promote education of girls and provide a substantial sum to fund higher education and wedding of girls.

Vhali dikari yojana : eligibility

Age of mother must be more than 18 year at time of birth of girl.

Girl must born after 02/08/2019

The girls must belong to a poor family with annual income of less than 02 lakhs.

Application must be a permanent resident of gujarat state.

The scheme according to patel will be availed to families with up to rs.02 lakh income per year.

The state government has made allocation of rs.133 crore for this scheme in financial year 2019-2020 budget.

In an effort to increase the birth rate of girls and combat female feticide, the gujarat government has launched "Vhali dikari yojana" in the budget. Under the scheme, when the girl crosses the age of 18 years, the finance minister, nitin patel announced in the assembly that the government will give him rs.01 lakh.
